Football legend Herschel Walker made it clear that he’s not happy Marshawn Lynch refused to stand for the national anthem while in Mexico.

The Oakland Raiders star running back sat on the bench last Sunday while the American anthem was played against the New England Patriots, but stood for the Mexican anthem.

“To stand for the Mexico anthem and sit for the American anthem is total disrespect. Lost respect for you. Man, that’s just not right,” Walker recently told TMZ Sports.

It’s pretty hard to disagree with Walker’s assessment. Especially when you consider the fact that Mexico is one of the most violent countries on the planet, the government is corrupt and innocent people are routinely killed like it’s clockwork.

This situation would be a lot less worse for Lynch if he didn’t stand for either anthem. At least in that situation, it wouldn’t have the optics of looking like the star running back supported what Mexico stands for or represents.

Instead, Lynch chose the worst possible option and now is getting dragged for it.
