The media didn’t take a break from their ridiculous takes and fake news over Thanksgiving, so we’re here to break it all down for you.

CNN political analyst April Ryan suggested that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had lied about baking her family a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. The media grabbed ahold of the ridiculous narrative and claimed that the photo Sanders shared of the pie was a stock image.

“This is the same woman, though, who felt the need to ask Sarah Sanders if the White House supported slavery,” cohost Amber Athey joked of Ryan.

Elsewhere in the media circuit, MSNBC was proving their commitment to real news by having the fake news king, Dan Rather, on as a guest.

“I don’t think a lot of people remember this, but Dan Rather was literally fired from his job for spreading fake news about George W. Bush,” host Saagar Enjeti explained. “[He] didn’t vet some documents correctly–so Dan, you might want to spare us your sanctimonious Facebook posts and MSNBC appearances.”
