Planned Parenthood won’t receive anymore funding through Arkansas’ Medicaid program after a court ruled to stop the cash flow immediately.

The U.S. Department of Human Services announced the prohibition of funding to the abortion organization on Monday after one of its spokespersons said that the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling last week would take effect, The Associated Press reported Monday.

“Planned Parenthood Great Plains remains committed to serving our patients regardless of their ability to pay while we continue fighting to protect the right of Arkansas women and families to access critical health care services,” said CEO of Planned Parenthood Great Plains CEO, Aaron Samulcek, in a statement after the ruling. according to The Hill.

Arkansas’ block to Planned Parenthood funding comes as a direct reversal of a federal appeals court’s August ruling to drop an injunction prohibiting the state from blocking Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood.

This is not the first time that the Arkansas has blocked Medicaid funding going to Planned Parenthood. The state did so in 2015 after the Center For Medical Progress came out with videos exposing the abortion organizations suspicious in-clinic activities.
