Anthony Scaramucci returned to television on Tuesday to defend President Donald Trump calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.”
The former White House communications director argued on CNN that the “Pocahontas” joke isn’t a big deal and people are sick of political correctness in the United States.

“I think that [Warren] has been nasty to him and he’s been concurrently nasty to her,” Scaramucci said to CNN host Chris Cuomo. “You’ve been the victim of racial slurs because of your heritage, so have I.”
“What do you do?” Scaramucci asked rhetorically before brushing off his sleeve, indicating that he tends to ignore comments about his Italian heritage. “See that?”
“I think at the end of the day, we’re getting a little too micromanaging of each other’s languages, the whole political correctness movement,” he continued. “I’m totally tired of it.”
“My point is, I don’t see it as much of a big deal as you do — let’s set our hair on fire,” Scaramucci concluded.
