Legendary broadcaster and commentator Al Michaels thinks recently benched New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning could join his profession.

“Absolutely,” Michaels responded when asked by TMZ Sports if Manning has a future in the broadcasting booth. He also added that Eli is a classy and talented guy.

Not exactly the worst endorsement you can get when it comes the broadcasting game, but Eli might want to try to stick it out for a few more years in the league.

He probably won’t be with the Giants much longer if he chooses that route, but of course, the Super Bowl-winning gunslinger might just to decide to hang it up.

If he does, having Michaels on your side is pretty solid. After all, he did make the most famous call in the history of sports when America slapped the Soviet Union hockey team during the 1980 Winter Olympics.

Probably the greatest guy you could ever possibly have on your side.
