Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called NBC’s firing of Matt Lauer “karma” for overall sexism in politics, during a talk Thursday evening.

Clinton voiced her disdain for Lauer while promoting her new book “What Happened” in Philadelphia. Lauer, who was fired by NBC Tuesday for alleged sexual misconduct, had voiced previous criticism for the news anchor who she believed gave Trump more leeway during the NBC News “Commander-in-Chief Forum,” reported The Hill.

“Every day I believe more in karma,” said Clinton. “The only way we will get sexism out of politics is to get more women in politics,” she added. Clinton criticized Lauer for frequently interrupting her and asking her about the email controversy during the forum.

Hillary Clinton was previously grilled by Matt Lauer during a 1998 interview. Lauer asked the former First Lady many questions regarding Monica Lewinsky and  her husband’s, then-President Bill Clinton, extramarital affairs.
