Former FBI Director James Comey weighed-in on the news of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s guilty plea with a bizarre tweet and Instagram post Friday afternoon.

In a not-so-cryptic message for President Donald Trump and his former national security adviser, Comey uploaded a picture of a stream with an accompanying Bible quote on his Instagram and shared the link on Twitter.

“But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream,” Comey’s post, under the name “a_higher_loyalty”, reads.

Comey was criticized for his handling into the criminal investigation of former secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server. After a months-long investigation, Comey ultimately decided not to recommend federal charges in a highly-watched news conference.

In his free time, Comey periodically posts a number of tweets and Instagram photos seemingly throwing shade at his old boss. In May of this year, Comey was fired by Trump on the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein over his handling of the Clinton investigation.

A tweet of his from late November quotes Churchill: “The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”

Flatiron Books announced a multi-million dollar book deal with the former FBI director in August of this year.  The book will reportedly be about leadership.
