Wisconsin governor Scott Walker declared that Friday is “Wear Red Day” in support of the Badgers ahead of the Big Ten Championship against Ohio State.

Say whatever you want about Scott Walker, but I love this move. I’m even totally willing to ignore the fact he blocked me on Twitter to give him some props here. True story. Scott Walker blocked me on Twitter. I guess he thought that as the young prince of Wisconsin with growing popularity, I was a threat to his governorship. It was a wild situation.

Either way, of course we need governors and elected politicians getting involved in college football. If third world dictators are involved with their sports teams then I see no reason why our democratically elected leaders can’t be held to the same standard.

Sports are just more fun when powerful people such as myself are involved. It only gets better when governors get involved too. The more the merrier in my book.

Now, let’s get back to our day focusing on how Ohio State is going to get rocked.
