I hate to admit it, but Ohio State was the better team on the field against Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championship.

These teams play 10 times, and they probably split right down the middle. However, last night the Buckeyes earned their win. It’s just that simple.

I could point to several things throughout the game that I thought screwed the Badgers, but that’d be the easy way out. I talked a lot of hype leading up to the game. My e-mail, Twitter and texts I’ve received since the game are a constant reminder.

Props to me for being man enough to admit when I’m wrong. I honestly thought the Badgers would roll them last night in Indianapolis. That didn’t happen. I’m still incredibly proud of this team, the year they’ve had and whatever bowl game we get. Going 12-1 is nothing to laugh about.

We nearly got to the top of the mountain, but ultimately we fell just a shade short. That’s life sometimes. That’s sports sometimes. I’m just as proud to be a Wisconsin Badger today as I was when the sun went down yesterday before the game.

P.S.: It’ll be a complete screw job if Ohio State doesn’t get into the playoff. They’ve without a doubt earned it.
