Arizona State head coach Herm Edwards had his introductory press conference Monday, and his tenure didn’t get off to the hottest start.
In fact, he doesn’t really appear to understand that ASU’s mascot is the Sun Devil.
“Watch out for them devils,” Edwards said during a bizarre rant while taking a question from the media.

I wrote an article earlier today about how exciting this would be, and it only took a few hours for it to come through.
Appearing not to know your own mascot is grade-A content. The Edwards regime is going to be incredible in Tempe. Doesn’t even know his own mascot and he is already giving hyped press conferences for the media. This has been awesome, and we’re not even a full day in.
An even better moment was when his agent said, “I have no doubt he will put a lot of points on the scoreboard of life.”
