The outrage over New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski blowing up a defensive back is a bit much during a game against the Buffalo Bills.
Tre’Davious White was mugging Gronk all the way down the field, and he returned the favor by drilling him after an interception.

Look, he shouldn’t have done it, but people freaking out need to chill. I don’t understand how anybody can really be defending White that much in this situation. Was Gronk just supposed to sit there and take it? Again, not the smartest play in the world, but this was borderline NHL justice being served.
You have everything coming to you if as a defensive player you’re dumb enough to rag a guy all the way down the field. Where was the flag for that? I wouldn’t suspend Gronk for a single second. You hit him with a reasonable fine, and let it be done. Play stupid games like White did and you will win stupid prizes every single time. I probably would have done the exact same thing Gronk did.
