The Heisman finalists were revealed Monday night on ESPN.
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Stanford running back Bryce Love and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson are the three finalists for the big award this year.

I’m not really sure why we’re even having the award show this year. Baker Mayfield is going to run away with this award, and he should. He has had an incredible season for the Sooners. Without him there’s absolutely zero chance Oklahoma would be in the playoff.
I must also admit that I’m pretty disappointed Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor didn’t get the call to come to New York. What more does a guy have to do in order to get some respect around here? He rushed for 13 touchdowns and more than 1,800 yards. That would seem to be more than enough if you’re asking me.
It’s just another classic case of the the voters not giving the respect players have earned. If a player on Alabama had those numbers he’d win the Heisman in a heartbeat.
