A pro-Roy Moore PAC ran a radio ad over the weekend accusing Democratic Senate candidate Doug Jones of trying to start a race war, according to a Politico report.

The Restore Our Godly Heritage PAC, a group that urges people to turn back to God in order to “make America great again,” reportedly ran the ad over the weekend as the Dec. 12 special election for Attorney General Jeff Session’s seat inches closer, Politico reported Sunday.

“Desperate to steal this Senate race, Jones and his race-hustling allies are trying to start a race war and it’s only going to get worse in the final weekend, with millions of dollars in street money to turn out the vote,” the radio ad says.

The ads were reportedly featured on approximately 60 radio stations this weekend and also claimed Jones was using “vile, racist ads on black radio” to “steal the election.”

The Restore Our Godly Heritage PAC did not return The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment in time for publication.

Jones is working to rally black Alabama voters to his side as most polls show Moore having either a comfortable margin or slight one. Over the weekend, Democratic Sen. Cory Booker joined Jones at a campaign rally to push for him.

“We need leaders that are not going to divide us and separate us and tear us up and dissect us,” adding that “there are consequential moments in our American history and this is one of them,” Booker said at a Sunday Birmingham rally.
