UPDATE: As of the start of the game both teams were in their normal helmets, despite the fact ESPN made it appear that they would be wearing special edition “Star Wars” helmets.

The New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins will be wearing some special edition “Star Wars” inspired helmets during their game in Miami on Monday night.

ESPN tweeted out a side-by-side photo of the two helmets on Monday afternoon to give fans a sneak peek of what the two teams will be wearing tonight.

“The force is strong on Monday night,” ESPN tweeted in a clear nod to the franchise films.

New England’s logo has been altered to make it seem like the Patriot is wearing a helmet similar to the ones the rebels wear in “Star Wars.” Miami did away with their dolphin for the night and replaced it with the BB-8 droid from the popular series. (Watch The First Full Trailer For ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’)

This isn’t the first time “Star Wars” has used the platform of Monday Night Football to promote “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Back in October, the first trailer for the upcoming film debuted during the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings.

Now, just days before the “The Last Jedi” goes to theaters December 15, they’re taking advantage of some primetime football again to promote the highly-anticipated movie.
