ESPN recently ran an entire segment previewing Michigan’s upcoming bowl game against Mississippi State.
There’s just one major problem with that. The Wolverines will be playing the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Outback Bowl. They most certainly won’t be playing Mississippi State.
ESPN just spent an entire segment discussing Michigan-Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl.
Here’s the thing. Mississippi State isn’t in the Outback Bowl. South Carolina is.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s put our hands together for the “worldwide leader in sports.”
You’d think if anybody should know who plays and when they play it’d be ESPN. The network is out here taking losses on a regular basis. Very embarrassing, especially when you consider not a single person in the segment knew who was actually playing. It’s not like the Outback Bowl is a scrub bowl game. It’s one of the best games you can get into. You’d think somebody at ESPN would have to know.
Also, I hope this game is close, but I have a very strong feeling that Michigan is going to wreck them. The Wolverines played Wisconsin and Ohio State close to end the season. No way South Carolina would have hung with either team. I like Michigan to rep the Big Ten here and get a big win.
