WATCH:

Today, we’re discussing the Alabama Senate election and troubling reports of bias related to the Russia investigation.

Alabamians are headed to the polls Tuesday in a Senate special election the nation has been closely watching. A victory by Republican Roy Moore would solidify President Donald Trump’s take over of the Republican Party, but would allow Democrats to easily tie Republicans to a senator accused of sexual assault.

A win by Democrat Doug Jones would point to a troubling midterm election for the GOP after losses in both Virginia and solidly-red Alabama. It would also put into question how much power Trump actually wields.

TheDC Newsroom also touched on Chuck Ross’ report that President Trump’s legal team is looking for a second special counsel to investigate Robert Mueller.

“The new demand follows a bombshell Monday report detailing that the wife of a Justice Department official who had contact last year with the author of the Trump dossier was herself working for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the Trump dossier.”
