An Ohio woman has been charged with shooting and dismembering her husband and then keeping his remains inside containers in her home for six months, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

Marcia Eubank, 49, allegedly murdered her husband, 54-year-old Howard Eubank, in June and used an electric saw to dismember him, ABC 7 reported Tuesday. Eubank then texted her husband’s employer to claim he’d been sent to the hospital, eventually extending the lie and telling him they’d moved to Texas. Marcia was only found out when their son entered the home and found his father’s remains in three separate containers.

“I just found out my mom killed my dad and I found the pieces of his body in the house,” the son said in a frantic 911 call.

The son, who has remained unnamed, climbed into the house through a window Saturday after his mother locked him out of the house. He found the house filled with a foul odor and maggots, which he sourced back to his father’s remains, according to News 5 Cleveland.

After her capture, Eubank admitted to shooting her husband in the back of the head on June 13 and has been charged with murder and her bond has been set at $1 million. Police said she also told detectives about her motives in the murder, but Summit County Sheriff Steve Barry declined to reveal the information to reporters.

“It’s sick. I’ve known these people for over 20 years,” neighbor Jackie Kaylor told the Akron Beacon Journal. “It’s absolutely devastating. I just can’t believe this is all real.”
