Mike Huckabee told Mika Brzezinski to “go pound sand” after the “Morning Joe” co-host attacked his daughter, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Wednesday.

“She deserves better from other women and it just amazes me that even the women who say they are feminists are doing everything they can to discredit my daughter,” Mike Huckabee told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum Wednesday night. “My daughter stands strong and tough and walks into that lions den of a press room every day and represents women and represents the president and represents strength in an incredible way.”

On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” Brzezinski expressed disbelief that Sanders could stand by President Donald Trump’s tweet that suggested Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand would “do anything” for political donations. Some thought that Trump’s tweet implied Gillibrand exchanged sexual favors for political donations.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders, I feel sorry for you,” railed Brzezinski, “I started a hashtag ‘Support for Sarah’ and ‘get your mind out of the gutter’ in your quest for truth, in quest for goodness, in your quest for love country, because you haven’t made it there yet.”

Brzezinski didn’t just point her finger at Sanders, but at all women associated with the Trump administration — including the president’s wife and daughter — who haven’t responded as Brzezinski thinks they should.

Sanders said that anyone’s mind has to be “in the gutter” if they found a hidden sexual message in Trump’s tweet.

The president has consistently criticized politicians for appearing to do “anything” in the pursuit of political donations.
