Mario Batali found himself in hot water again after his apology for his behavior following sexual misconduct allegations included a cinnamon roll recipe, according to People.

“As many of you know, this week there has been some news coverage about some of my past behavior,” Batali wrote in a newsletter to fans on Friday. “I have made many mistakes and I am so very sorry that I have disappointed my friends, my family, my fans and my team. My behavior was wrong and there are no excuses. I take full responsibility.” (RELATED: ABC Cuts Mario Batali From ‘The Chew’ Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations)

“Sharing the joys of Italian food, tradition and hospitality with all of you, each week, is an honor and privilege,” he added. “Without the support of all of you– my fans–I would never have a forum in which to expound on this. I will work every day to regain your respect and trust.”

“PS. in case you’re searching for a holiday–inspired breakfast, these Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls are a fan favorite,” he continued and included photo of the rolls along with a link for the recipe.

The apology comes after the 57-year-old celebrity chef was cut Thursday from ABC’s “The Chew” following an investigation into multiple sexual misconduct allegations.

Batali announced earlier in the week that he was stepping away from day-to-day operations of his restaurant empire operations following the report in The Eater in which four women accused him of “inappropriate touching in a pattern of behavior that spans at least two decades.”
