The House of Representatives passed the White House-backed tax bill Tuesday and the Senate is expected to vote later in the day. Eighty percent of taxpayers will see their taxes go down due to the legislation, according to the Tax Policy Center.
“Congratulations to Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Kevin Brady, Steve Scalise, Cathy McMorris Rodgers and all great House Republicans who voted in favor of cutting your taxes!” Trump tweeted after the House passed the legislation.

We also discussed our office Christmas party Monday night, which was a joyful affair that included an awards ceremony and great food and drink.
Notably, White House correspondent Alex Pfeiffer won the prestigious award of “Most Likely to be Arrested” award, while investigative reporter Peter Hasson won the slightly more prestigious prize for “excellence in reporting.”
