Here’s How Many Times London Ambulances Had To Be Called After Botched Abortions This Year
London ambulance services were called nearly 500 times due to botched abortions in the span of one year.
London’s BPAS clinics made 313 emergency phone calls to ambulances after botched abortions while its Marie Stopes clinics made 153 phone calls between Oct. 1, 2016 and Oct. 31, 2017, according to a London Ambulance Service Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request released to the public. A spokesperson for the U.K.’s Life Charity confirmed the 466 total emergency ambulance requests in a Friday email to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
“The figure is absolutely staggering. It means that there were almost 500 complications at BPAS and Marie Stopes clinics in just over one year in London alone,” said Life Charity’s Director of Education Anne Scanlan. “That’s an average of one ambulance call every day to London abortion clinics.”
“This cannot and should not continue while the Government and the rest of society stand idly by,” Scanlan continued.
The figures’ release comes after an Australian member of parliament petitioned to launch an investigation into 27 babies born alive who died at an abortion clinic following failed abortions, according to Christian Headlines. Recently, a former Planned Parenthood procurement technician of body parts from aborted babies also explained how the American company similarly exploits live babies. Technicians were only allowed to take fetal tissue from babies who were alive before they were aborted, Holly O’Donnell, a whistleblower and former StemExpress procurement technician, said in a video released by the Center For Medical Progress.
