A man on Facebook says his account was recently suspended just after he shared his wife’s journey with cervical cancer in an extended post on the platform.

Elliott Lowe, who lives in Milton Keynes, U.K., wrote the detailed message to spread awareness of smear tests, more traditionally known as cervical screening tests. To show the traumatic effects such a cancer can have, Lowe also shared pictures of his wife Donna, both before and after the diagnosis.

The post, as of Tuesday morning, has 45,000 reactions (likes, loves, sad faces), roughly 31,900 shares, and more than 13,000 comments.

But for sometime Lowe’s account was suspended “due to what Facebook said was suspicious activity and as a security procedure,” according to The Independent.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Facebook for further explanation, but the social media company has so far not responded to the inquiry.

Lowe said his account was eventually restored, but during the period of time in which it was down no one could see his post or contact him.

“I can only assume it was due to the number of messages I was sent in support of my aim to raise awareness of cervical cancer and the number of times my post has been shared which I believe is in the region of 30,000,” Lowe said, according to The Independent.
