The Christmas celebration of 2017 might have only wrapped up a few hours ago, but it’s never too early to start thinking ahead for 2018.

Now I know what’s going through your mind. You’re saying to yourself, “David, it’s not even 2018 yet.”

Very astute observation. However, it shouldn’t matter what day or time of the year it is. Hell, I’m not even against preparing for Christmas 2019 right now. Think about all the great new guns that’ll be on the market in two years. It’s never too early to get excited.

It’s currently -18 degrees outside at my house. I’m pretty sure most of America would die upon exposure to the elements here, but that’s what the Christmas spirit is all about. Cold weather, and reminding the rest of the world that America is better and tougher than them. So, I don’t see any reason to take down any of the decorations. Who wants to go outside when it’s -18 degrees? Leave that stuff up for the next year. We can talk about taking it down this time next year (the answer is still no).

And think about all the great shopping opportunities you have right now. Literally nobody is at the store right now shopping for 2018 Christmas gifts. This opens up a huge opportunity for those of us smart enough to think ahead. Don’t get caught there on Black Friday. Just get it done now, and you’ll look like a genius. As they say, “fortune always favors the bold.”

We’re only 364 days away, and there’s no excuse not to be preparing around the clock. Godspeed ladies and gentlemen.
