Rose Marie Of ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ Dead At 94

Rose Marie, the actress best known for her role on the “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” has died,  Entertainment Weekly reported Thursday. She was 94 years old.

According to her website, Marie who played lovable writer Sally Rogers on the popular TV show alongside Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore passed away Thursday at her home in Van Nuys, California.

“It is with broken hearts that we share the terribly sad news that our beloved Rose Marie passed away this afternoon,” the official Twitter account for the actress shared.

Marie got her break in Hollywood as a child star under the name Baby Rose Marie and was one of the last stars during the age of vaudeville. During her career she appeared on both Broadway and the big screen. Though she’s best known for her role on the CBS sitcom “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” she also is known for her part on “The Doris Day” show and later as a member of the popular TV game show “Hollywood Squares.”

The actress got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2001.
