Baker Mayfield Shows Up To Bowl Game Carrying ‘Pretenders’ Sign

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield was wearing his metaphorical shiny shoes when he showed up to the Rose Bowl on Thursday.

KFOR reporter tweeted a photo of Mayfield getting off the bus, and captioned the tweet, “Was just sent this from a buddy — Baker Mayfield getting off the #Sooners bus holding a “pretenders” sign …”

Well, I’m glad to see Mayfield is already in classic form prior to his game against Georgia. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This kid just can’t fly under the radar and do things on the down low. He always has to make a production out of the everything, and honestly that’s one of the more likable things about him.

Now he just needs to go out there and win the whole thing so my prediction can be correct.
