“Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” author Michael Wolff said in a Friday interview that President Donald Trump is the least credible man to ever walk on earth.

Wolff, who is releasing his book four days early after the president’s lawyer sent him a cease & desist letter, hit back at the president for questioning his credibility.

“My credibility is being questioned by a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth at this point,” Wolff said during an NBC interview.

“I work like every journalist works so I have recordings, I have notes, I am certainly and absolutely in every way comfortable with everything I’ve reported in this book,” he said, insisting that he talked to President Trump during his investigation.

Wolff also said during the interview that “100 percent” of the people close to the president question his mental stability and his fitness for office.

Wolff claimed that he has never had to issue a correction on one of his books, but NBC News noted that his reporting has been called into question before. Now-defunct media journal Brill’s Content called out Wolff’s 1998 book “Burn Rate” for allegedly fabricating or changing quotations from 13 sources.
