Paige VanZant is slated to fight Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124 January 14, and I’m praying that it goes well.

I’ve been one of the biggest leaders on the VanZant bandwagon. The whole UFC world is waiting on pins and needles for the electric fighter known as “12 Gauge” to get back in the octagon. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Sexiest Paige VanZant Photos On The Internet)

However, there are moments where I find myself wondering what we, the fans, will do if she loses. I hate to even put the negativity out there in the universe. I’m a positive guy, and I really hate negativity. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Ronda Rousey Photos On The Internet)

It’s just that sports are an uncertain commodity. Anything can happen at any given moment. (SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

Of course, these lingering doubts are literally lasting for about two seconds before I come to my senses. This is Paige VanZant we’re talking about. She might have lost her last fight, but a change is on the horizon.

I think she is going to rock Rose, and I hope I’m right. The alternative outcome is just too brutal to even want to contemplate.
