An unreal number of people watched Alabama defeat Georgia in the college football national championship game Monday night.
Over 27 million people watched the incredible game, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell. Rovell also pointed out that it was nearly seven million more people than any single game of the last NBA Finals.
Last night’s college football title game was watched by 27.3 million viewers.
Perspective: Last year’s NBA Finals, which was the most watched in 19 years, averaged 20.4 million viewers*

I’m a little surprised so many people tuned in to watch a title game between two SEC teams, but they sure got a show.
Everything about the game was awesome. It had great offense, great defense, big plays and one of the craziest endings we’ve ever seen. Alabama walked away with another championship, and everybody but Georgia fans went to bed excited and exhausted from the game.
That’s all you can ask for as a football game.
