Floyd Mayweather has no idea what the #MeToo movement is all about.
The movement is focused on ending violence against women and sexual misconduct. However, the legendary boxer, who was convicted of beating a woman, never got that memo.
The following is from an interview with Men’s Health:
We’re asking a lot of men, in light of the #MeToo movement, how men can grow in 2018 (Interviewer).
The #MeToo movement. Women speaking out about sexual assault.
When you say “me too” … When somebody is like, “I got a Rolls Royce, I be like ‘me too.'” When somebody say they got a private jet, I say, “Me too. I got two. Me too.”
This is a very different —
Well, I didn’t know! My Me Too movement from the beginning was whenever somebody said what they have I’m like, “me too.” Somebody say they got a billion dollars, I say, “I made a billion dollars, me too.”
How can anybody be this dumb? I know Mayweather has taken some shots through the years to his head, but how is anybody living in America right now unaware of the #MeToo movement?
Floyd might be a great boxer, but he’s clearly not overly intelligent. Of course, nobody has ever accused him of being a genius.
Imagine being one of the richest people on the planet, but being so dumb that you think the #MeToo movement is about responding to what different objects and how much money you? I would have paid so much money to be there when one of his associates had to explain to him about how it’s intended to spread awareness about people harming women. It’s hilarious to envision the reaction on Mayweather’s face.
It’s a shame he wasn’t asked these questions during the press tour with Conor McGregor. Those answers while he was in the spotlight would have been so much more entertaining, and that’s really saying something.
