American pro golfer Pat Perez has been having a pretty solid week. Not only is his hair the envy of many golfers in the PGA, he also finished fourth at the Sentry Tournament Of Champions on Sunday. And on Tuesday, he found out he was going to be a dad. Not a bad start to 2018.

His wife Ashley told him while they were out to dinner after the tournament. “Saturday I got the best news of all time!!!!” He posted to his Instagram. “My beautiful and amazing wife @therealashleyperez is pregnant! We just left the doctor and are due in September! 2018 couldn’t have started off better!! At the age of 42 I will finally be a dad!!”
His reaction was pretty gold and his shirt is even better. Perez clearly has good taste in movies and dessert. His wife caught his initial reaction and posted it to her personal Instagram as well.
Bringing used pregnancy tests to a public restaurant is a questionable move but if anyone can pull it off it’s the Perez family. Pat Perez is one of the most underrated people in sports. Not only is he a talented golfer, but his approach to life is impeccable. He says the only thing that got him through physical therapy was drinking a lot of booze. And he attributes his success in golf to not working out and eating poorly.

Pat Perez is clearly in the league of champions. America can sleep well tonight knowing that he’ll be passing down his superior genes and tactics to another generation.
