Army veteran Ricky Taylor has an excellent idea for what to do with those empty seats left by multiple Democrats protesting Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech.

Maxine Waters, Frederica Wilson, John Lewis, Pramila Jayapal and Earl Blumenauer have all announced that they will sit out the speech due to political disagreements. Their absence will leave a number of empty chairs at the speech. Taylor thinks those seats should go to veterans.

On Twitter, the Army veteran asked for Maxine Waters’ seat.

I would like to take Maxine Waters seats at The State Of The Union Address. If they don’t want to go this Military Veteran would gladly go. I’d tell the President how much he means to myself, family, Military, and all of his supporters!

His tweet was featured on Fox News and on Wednesday, Taylor went on “Fox and Friends.” On the show, Taylor ripped into Maxine Waters, saying she does not “represent” all black people and called himself a proud “deplorable.”

Taylor said that Maxine Waters was “disrespectful” and protesting for a “publicity stunt” but he has not received any word from Waters on the seat.

“There are so many Trump supporters that are minorities,” Taylor says, “She does not speak for me.”
