Following our report on The Daily Caller that Kevin Sorbo was banned from the upcoming East Coast Comicon convention for his friendship with Sean Hannity, the conservative Christian actor is now speaking out about the ban, which he calls an example of the progressive left’s intolerance.

Sorbo, who recently starred in the Sean Hannity-produced movie “Let There Be Light,” did not hold back on his criticism of progressives and of Cliff Galbraith, the founder of East Coast Comicon who bragged about banning the actor from the convention.

“I’ve never even heard of the East Coast Comicon,” said Sorbo in an interview with Todd Starnes. “They don’t have any A-Listers attending. I think they are looking for free publicity.”

On Twitter, Sorbo shared a link to a Fox News article by Starnes on the subject, referring to the ban as “so funny and ridiculous.”

“What’s even more odd is I have never heard of this con nor did my booking,” he said.

Speaking to Starnes, Sorbo criticized the progressive left and its penchant for intolerance toward conservatives.

“The Left always screams about tolerance and freedom of speech, but it’s a one-way street for them,” he said. “I don’t get upset with someone having a different point of view. The Left gets so angry and they go crazy. What are you going to do? It is what they are.”

Hannity shared his own thoughts on the issue with Starnes, to state that Galbraith, the event’s founder, is “just mad that comic book movies are just boring formulaic Hollywood drivel that people are tired of. I’ll pity the insecure guy who cannot escape his comic book world, and handle a little real world truth and reality and an opposing viewpoint.”

“Take that, Batman,” said Hannity.

Hannity’s thoughts may seem controversial for fans of comic book movies, but he’s not wrong about Galbraith and his supporters’ insecurity in banning conservative voices like Sorbo from attending their events.
