Trump On North Korea Getting Nuclear Weapons: ‘They Get Closer Every Day’

President Trump gave his thoughts on North Korea and its nuclear ambitions in an interview published Wednesday, remarking that the hermit kingdom gets “closer every day” to a nuclear weapon.

Trump told Reuters, “They’re not there yet, but they’re close. And they get closer every day.”

He also said, “We’re playing a very, very hard game of poker and you don’t want to reveal your hand.”(RELATED: Canada Will Contribute To US Fund To Enforce Sanctions Against North Korea)

“I’d sit down, but I‘m not sure that sitting down will solve the problem,” Trump said, adding, “I‘m not sure that talks will lead to anything meaningful. They’ve talked for 25 years and they’ve taken advantage of our presidents, of our previous presidents.” (RELATED: North Korea Says Talks With South A Chance For Reunification)
