The Wisconsin Badgers basketball team’s dreams of the postseason are almost certainly dead at this point.

My Badgers got blown out last night against Purdue, and it was just another sign that this season is nothing short of an absolute disaster.

Tough one tonight. Back at it at home on Friday. #OnWisconsin

We’re 9-10 and are playing a bunch of freshman, and it looks like things are only going to get worse down the stretch. The Badgers have been dominant in the Big Ten and in America for the better part of 20 years, and now we’re getting blown out by Purdue.

It’s tragically sad. There’s honestly a better chance at this point that I end up marrying a supermodel on the top of Mount Everest than the Badgers making the tournament.

Lots of people try to say that finding out some bad news is just as bad as finding out that Santa isn’t real. I never believed in Santa. You’d have to be a complete idiot to think a fat man is breaking into millions of houses without getting shot. I did believe this basketball team would make the tournament, and for that I am truly sorry.

My judgment got clouded by my fandom. People might be really upset with head coach Greg Gard right now, and they have that right to a certain degree. I’m not worried about him. I still think he’s the man for the job. We got hit with injuries, the team is young and that’s never a great combination.

Maybe there’s still a miracle waiting to happen here at some point. I’m just not holding my breath at this point.
