The Eagles Could Clinch The NFC Championship With This Strategy

We’re still three days away from the NFC championship, and you can cut the tension with a knife across the country.

Most of that tension is rapidly building in the City Of Brotherly Love. All the wonderful people who work at Lincoln Financial Field can feel it. Eagles owner Jeff Lurie can feel it. Even the mayor of Philly Jim Kenney can feel it; he’s publicly refused to take a bet with the Minneapolis mayor because he doesn’t want to jinx the game.

Everybody in Eagles nation can feel it. They’re doing everything they can to help their odds. The Vikings are a formidable foe, and we need everybody healthy and ready to handle whatever may come their way.

The point is, the Eagles need a clincher. A secret weapon. One of the most iconic individuals to ever set foot in Philly. Someone who defines the city and embodies the Liberty Bell.

And since Ben Franklin is long gone, the word on the street is that Philly might get the next best thing.

That’s right, people. Read it and weep. Sly Stallone. The eye of the tiger himself. And while I’ve already written extensively how if you’re rooting against the Eagles, then you’re rooting against America, just watch this clip and try not to get hyped for the city of Philadelphia.

Just look at that iconic Philly skyline. The garbage. The grit. The fine people of Broad Street. That scene just screams victory.

And to make things even better, Sly hasn’t made an appearance at the Linc since 2003. So if he shows up, you better believe he’s gonna be in a dog mask, and you better believe Philly’s gonna pull off a win. Simple as that.

Doug Pederson can thank me for this strategy later.
