Hollywood director and outspoken liberal Rob Reiner apparently thinks President Donald Trump is more racist than TV character Archie Bunker. Reiner was being interviewed by Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Friday night when he discussed his role as “Meathead” Mike Stivic on the 1970s hit “All in the Family.”

When asked if he was disturbed that the multi-prejudiced Archie was more popular than the “liberal do-gooder” that Reiner played, the actor contended that the Archie Bunker character, though bigoted, was “lovable” because he cared for his family.

But Reiner called Trump “a racist” for three reasons: questioning former President Barack Obama’s U.S. citizenship, suggesting there was evil present on “both sides” in the Charlottesville riot of last summer, and the statement recently attributed to the president about some countries being “shitholes.”

Ingraham was having none of it. She said Trump “absolutely is not” a racist. “Do I look like a person who would hang around with someone who is— I don’t hang around with him but I’ve known him for 15 years. I will tell you this, you have to believe me.”

“I’m just putting all of his things together. Central Park Five, not renting to black people, there’s a thing there,” Reiner continued. “I think he’s a racist.”

Reiner also kept viewers informed on his private investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He said it is necessary because “the public is not understanding the gravity of what happened.”
