An exotic dancer was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for stabbing a rival stripper in the throat during a strip club fight, The New York Post reports.

Rinita Linell Lowe pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the 2016 stabbing, which took place at Club Skinn in Portland, Oregon.

According to Deputy District Attorney Kevin Dremer, Lowe had a history of tension with her stripper victim, Shantina Turner.

On the night of the stabbing the two rival strippers met at Club Skinn, and an argument erupted.

The argument quickly turned physical, with Lowe pulling out a knife and stabbing the victim three times in the throat. A bouncer attempted to separate the two, but was too slow to prevent the attack.

The victim was reportedly unarmed, but Lowe’s defense attorney said that camera footage captured Turner choking Lowe before she was stabbed.

Lowe apologized for her actions in court, saying she did not intend to kill her rival, according to Oregon Live.
