The mini-series “WACO” will finally premiere tonight on the Paramount Network.

The series follows the horrific events in Waco, Texas during the standoff between federal forces and the Branch Davidians, who were led by David Koresh. Taylor Kitsch stars as Koresh and Michael Shannon stars as the lead FBI agent.

This show looks awesome. Kitsch and Shannon are both outstanding actors, who have proved their ability to stun and shock audiences time and time again. It should be a blast watching Kitsch play a delusional maniac. We’re used to him being Tim Riggins from “Friday Night Lights,” and then as a Navy SEAL hero in “Lone Survivor.”

He’s always one of the good guys, and now he’s the villain. I’m not worried though because he has more than enough talent to pull this off.

I’m also interested to see how the Paramount Network portrays the two sides. What happened at Waco is a highly debated topic in America, with some blaming the government and others holding the Branch Davidians responsible. Should be fun to see if Paramount Network takes a side or just plays it straight for the audience to interpret.

It will air at 10 pm EST on the Paramount Network.
