CNN’s Chris Cuomo laid into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for not firing a staffer from her 2008 campaign who was accused of sexual harassment.

“It raises two things. We went hard on this Friday night on the prime time show and the one is, this is who Hillary Clinton is. Let’s be honest. One of the reasons that email story got out of control is that she wouldn’t jump on that early on either and just own what was true and apologize about it,” Cuomo said Monday on “New Day.”

“The second thing is they’ll say it was 2008. Whatever. You had two people, including your campaign manager, come to you and said this person has to go. That was all you needed,” Cuomo said. “2008, 1978, that’s all she should have needed.”

Panelist David Gregory said the story will likely continue to follow Clinton and damage her already-sinking reputation.

“I don’t think this is a good look for Hillary Clinton and we’re not going to hear the last of it,” Gregory said.
