As the old adage goes, “In this world, noting is certain but death, taxes, and excessive clapping at the State of the Union.” Or … something like that.

Last night, Donald Trump delivered his first ever State of the Union address as president. When you reflect upon last night’s speech, things like the economy, job creation, foreign policy, the military, tax cuts, immigration reform, and clapping come to mind. Lot’s of clapping.

Anyone who has watched a State of the Union address before knows seemingly every point the president makes is followed by applause from the president’s supporters, alongside furrowed brows and crossed arms from his adversaries. This address did not deviate from tradition.

In fact, various personalities on Twitter took all the clapping as an insult.

If you woke up this morning and thought to yourself “I wish there were a way to watch only the good parts of the address last night,” you have come to the right place. It is with great pleasure I present to you, five straight minutes of Donald Trump clapping at his own SOTU.
