“They mock me in ads for saying that,” Pelosi acknowledged during a tax reform town hall in Massachusetts.

During an address at the annual Republican retreat in West Virginia, Trump specifically called out Pelosi for her “crumbs” comments.

“We got hit with these corporations giving tremendous bonuses to everybody that Nancy Pelosi calls crumbs,” Trump said. “That was a bad…that could be like ‘deplorable.'”

“Does that make sense? ‘Deplorable’ and ‘crumbs’?” Trump joked. “Those two words, they seem to have a resemblance.”

“But she called it crumbs when people are getting $2000 and $3000 and $1000 — that’s not crumbs, that’s a lot of money,” he asserted.
