President Donald Trump is set to meet North Korean defectors in the Oval Office Friday, one week before the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Trump will meet with eight defectors, one of whom is North Korean defector Ji Seong-ho, who the president invited to the State Of The Union Address, The Washington Post reported. The visit will focus on human rights abuses in North Korea, about which Trump has been extremely vocal.

“No regime has oppressed its own citizens more totally or brutally than the cruel dictatorship in North Korea,” the president said in his State Of The Union Address Tuesday night, adding, “We need only look at the depraved character of the North Korean regime to understand the nature of the nuclear threat it could pose to America and our allies.”

The meeting comes one week before the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, in which North Korea will be participating. Vice President Mike Pence will be attending the Olympic Games, which are scheduled for Feb. 9-25. The vice president’s decision to lead the U.S. delegation comes as North Korea announced after an 11-hour meeting with South Korea that they would be sending a delegation to the games. Trump has continued to demand that North Korea stop threatening the U.S., and will likely get useful information from the defectors in the Friday meeting.
