Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich slammed Democrats for their unwillingness to compromise on immigration and criticized Nancy Pelosi’s eight hour floor speech, Thursday on Fox News.

“First, eight hour speeches is what freshmen do. It’s not what speakers do. It’s a sign of her weakness that she’s reduced to giving an eight-hour speech because she can’t find a solution,” Gingrich said on “America’s Newsroom.” “Second, Trump just offered three times as many people as Barack Obama ever dreamed of. Three times as many and the Democrats can’t say yes.”

Gingrich said the Democrats are so hell bent on opposing Trump, they will reject any deal he offers — even when the proposal is good for both parities.

“There is a point where you have to think is this a party that’s incapable of agreeing to something even when it’s three times what they wanted? And I think Pelosi is part of that,” Gingrich concluded. “The left is so desperate to fight Trump they can’t even accept victory when he walks it out as a cake and says ‘here, three times as many dreamers as you thought of,’ and they still can’t say yes. It’s an amazing moment in American history.”
