The Olympics are now officially underway in South Korea.

While there were great demonstrations of togetherness between countries in the opening ceremonies, tensions are still high in the region. Just a few hundred miles north of the games, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un continues to pursue his goal of developing a nuclear weapon.

At the opening ceremonies, Vice President Mike Pence and Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, sat very close together. However, there was a much more fortuitous meeting occurring in the stands. A Donald Trump impersonator snuck into the stadium and stole the show. The spot-on impersonators hammed it up for the cameras, fist-bumping and hugging each other.

What a pair.

The humorous sideshow underscored the true tensions in the unstable region. Un has engaged in military brinkmanship, firing a number of new missiles over the last year and promising the destruction of America. The US military has responded with a series of military drills near the North Korean border and Trump has fired his own series of insults at the tinpot dictator.

The Olympics hope for happier times.
