President Donald Trump is signed a spending bill passed by Congress in the wee hours of Friday re-opening the government after a short shutdown.

Government appropriations ran out at midnight Thursday as Republican Sen. Rand Paul stood before the Senate to lambast the spending bill’s increase of deficits. The bill was quickly shepherded to the House floor and passed the chamber in the dawn hours. (RELATED: How Rand Paul Forced A Brief Government Shutdown)
“The President will be signing the Bipartisan Budget Act this morning to provide funding for government operations,” White House principal deputy press secretary said in a Friday statement. The spending bill provides a two year increase in domestic and military spending, abandoning budget caps which have ruled appropriations since 2013.
