Doc Rivers is watching the Boston Celtics as a fan today and plans on having a damn good time doing it.

The Boston Celtics are retiring Paul Pierce’s jersey during their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. Naturally a bunch of the Boston legend’s teammates are there for the big event, but none of them are probably looking forward to it quite like former Celtics coach Doc Rivers.

When asked what he plans on doing for his first Celtics game from the stands, Rivers had an incredible response.

“I’m gonna have a beer, yell at the refs the whole time, and I may even Boo LeBron.”

Rivers may be taking in his first Celtics game as a fan from the stands, but he’s certainly not in the cheap seats.

Former Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo are sitting courtside with their old coach.

Surely they’ll be in for a heck of a tribute for Paul Pierce when the Celtics raise his jersey up to the rafters, and if not, at least there will be plenty of beer.
