It looks like more and more people are coming around on Johnny Manziel’s football comeback.
I used to ask people all the time if they were hoping he’d make a comeback. The answers were about 90 percent no or hell no.
However, it seems like he’s winning people over after opening up about his abuse of alcohol and struggle with bipolar disorder.
I conducted a poll that showed 47 percent of the Twitter voters are cheering to see him make it back in football. Don’t get me wrong — that’s still slightly under halfway, but it’s light years ahead of where the numbers would have been at a year ago.

Clay Travis also ran a similar poll, and Manziel got 70 percent voting in favor of his comeback.

Johnny Football absolutely rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and the only person to blame for any of that is himself.
However, I’ve always argued that he could win people back by just being honest and getting back to football. That’s what he’s doing now, and I think it’s safe to say it’s working wonders.
Could you imagine 70 percent of people in any poll saying they were cheering for him last year? Absolutely not.
This actually makes me think that an NFL team might pull the trigger to carry the weight of the #ComebackSZN PR move. We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like Manziel’s comeback tour is going very well.
