Tim Tebow was asked late Tuesday if he’d consider the XFL, and he didn’t completely rule it out.

Tebow had initially said he wasn’t focused on all on Vince McMahon’s new football league. Well, sounds like he’s actually slowly coming around, or at the very least he’s not saying flat out no.

“I don’t know. That’s a long way from now,” Tebow told TMZ Sports when asked about the new league.

I still stand by my theory that there is zero chance Tebow ever takes a single snap in the XFL. There is no evidence that I’ve seen to suggest that there is any upside for him to play in the new league when it finally starts in 2020. Not a single shred of evidence has convinced me.

He’s playing some baseball, he’s on ESPN and Tebow has already made some money. Why would you want to go back to football at 32 years old, which is how old he’d be. Makes no sense. Short of McMahon offering him a few million dollars a year, which is unlikely, I don’t think it will ever happen.

I’ve been wrong before, and I might be wrong again. I’m just not holding my breath.
