Lonzo Ball’s mixtape “Born 2 Ball” was released Thursday, and there’s a track on there for his dad LaVar.

LaVar has been centerstage ever since Lonzo was playing ball at UCLA, and has only become a bigger fixture in the basketball world since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted his oldest son.

You can say whatever you want, but there’s no doubt in my mind that LaVar cares deeply about his sons’ futures. That’s also clear by the way Lonzo sings about his dad. He takes a couple shots at the haters and expresses his gratitude to his dad for getting him to where he is today.

I understand some of the outrage against LaVar. I really do. He can get obnoxious, he says dumb stuff and he sometimes acts really stupid. You also have to be looking at the results before making a judgement on him.

His oldest son is in the NBA, and his youngest son is a legit NBA prospect. That’s not too shabby.

Clearly, Lonzo thinks very highly of his dad.
