Update: This post has been updated to reflect that police have given given the “all clear” and Highline College is no longer on lockdown.

Authorities responded Friday to reports of shots fired at a community college in Washington state.

Highline College was locked down, and messages warning students and staff of an “active threat” on campus were sent out on the school website, as well as social media.

Police searched and evacuated the buildings, but no evidence of an active shooter were found. While there were no casualties in this incident, local media outlets are reporting that a couple of students are being treated for anxiety.

Highline College is a community college located in Des Moines, Washington, just a few minutes south of Seattle. The school gave the all clear on Facebook after a 2-hour lockdown. Classes have been cancelled for the remainder of the day.

Friday’s reports of shots fired at Highline were particularly alarming as this incident comes on the heels of a deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where a lone gunman ended the lives of 17 teachers and students Wednesday.
